January Blues

The title of this article is January blues, but that’s probably unfair. January greys would be more appropriate.

Every time we looked up last month there were grey clouds converging on us – either threatening to rain or absolutely pouring down.

Sections were ticked off in deep mud and banks were climbed…as well as slid down!

Winter weather isn’t always the kindest and if there’s one form of weather this writer dislikes working in, it’s rain.

However, we take the rough with the smooth. At least there’s less vegetation to battle through…but if those greys turned to blue soon then that would be most welcome.

After hundreds of miles on England’s motorway networks in January we now enter the shortest month of the year and we’re looking forward to tackling whatever February throws at us.
