The Proclaimers once sang about walking 500 miles…

Well, for PPS, 13 miles is enough for now. Our team has been holed up in Norfolk for the last few weeks, surveying 13 miles of river channels.

Along the way we’ve encountered deer, crayfish, kingfishers and egrets but for all the wildlife around us, there have also been swathes of vegetation to try and slow up our progress.

But no vegetation was to hold back our team – over 12,000 measurements later, we are now off site and into the processing stage of the job.

Just like many larger jobs, there have been plenty of additional structures to keep us on our toes along the way. Crumbled footbridges, permanent walkways in gardens and hidden culverts just a few of the surprises in the East of England.

But, the 13 miles are now ticked off. It’s time to rest our feet…
