A New Year

Hello 2025…it actually turns out that you’re not too dissimilar to 2024.

Our 2024 ended in the cold frosts of Suffolk, but driving home for Christmas we knew we’d be back there soon.

In fact, we’d be back in the cold frosts of Suffolk just two weeks after that drive.

The survey that straddled 2024 and 2025 took us through the centre of a town, a pub (we had a coffee…nothing stronger!), a housing estate, a park and, most notably, two sluice gates.

Despite rising river levels through our time on site we were able to navigate the weather, complete the job and watch the wonders of the sluice gates being opened, thanks to the Environment Agency.

The job was made far more enjoyable thanks to our new waders, courtesy of Ollyskins. Nothing quite beats that fresh wader feel, particularly when you’re in freezing water!

In the meantime, we became TikTok stars. Would you believe that we’ve had a video that had a whopping 326 people watch one of our videos? 289 on another! I think it’s fair to say we’ve broken the internet…
