The Month of June 2024
And that was June 2024.
The Euros kicked off in Germany, Coldplay headlined Glastonbury (again) and the country celebrated national fish and chip day – do you have salt and vinegar?
It’s been a good month for PPS – one where we’ve been able to catch up on the behind the scenes aspect of the job.
Most notably, we’ve updated our wardrobes. All staff have beautiful fresh bundles of branded clothing – from new t-shirts to beanies. Beanies in June? At this rate, we’ll need them sooner than we initially thought!
Keyboards have taken a pounding in the office but not all our work has been underneath a roof. Interestingly, we ticked off a remote job during June.
We were working close to a site of freshwater pearl mussels, meaning we had to be very delicate throughout the job so as not to disrupt the endangered species.
As part of the job we installed a permanent ground marker – giving a forever benchmark for any future surveys that take place in the area.
But the most important survey coming up is the general election. You’ll have to wait until our July 2024 round-up to see how that goes though…
As a final note, a couple of the PPS team were given the opportunity to take some penalties at Leyton Orient for the biggest shootout in history. The best penalty takers won the prize of a trip to Germany to watch England. Given England’s performances, perhaps we were fortunate not to score enough penalties to progress!
